Welcome to the Bachelor of Operation Theatre Technology (BOTT) program, where we strive to shape the future of skilled healthcare professionals. As the Head of the Department, I am pleased to introduce you to a field that plays a crucial role in modern surgical, anesthesia and critical care settings.
Our comprehensive curriculum is designed to provide in-depth theoretical knowledge along with extensive hands-on training. Students are equipped with skills in pre-operative care, intra operative care and post-operative care, surgical instrumentation handling, anesthesia management, infection control, sterilization and emergency response procedures. We follow a dynamic teaching approach, ensuring our graduates are well-prepared for real-world challenges in operation theatres and critical care units.
One of the greatest advantages of our program is the opportunity for practical exposure in our state-of-the-art 650-bedded hospital. This hands-on experience allows students to work alongside experienced surgeons, anesthetists, and healthcare professionals, enhancing their clinical expertise and confidence in handling surgical environments.
The career opportunities for Operation Theatre Technologists are vast and promising. Graduates can explore opportunities in government and private hospitals, trauma centres, emergency care units, and specialized surgical centres. Industries, military, cath lab, endoscopy, Additionally, with continuous advancements in the medical field, there is a growing demand for skilled operation theatre professionals both nationally and internationally.
